Taiyuan River
The Fen River (汾河, Fén Hé in Chinese) runs through Taiyuan as a built axis, not an open natural boundary, shaped by successive interventions that redefine its role within the city.
Reservoirs, movable structures and planted banks turn the river into managed ground; nature here is arranged as infrastructure.
The work looks at engineered space in daily use, where the river functions less as geography than as a controlled setting.
The images hold moments where that order is plain to see: a landscape held between planning and chance.
